Description
Fabienne Colas Foundation
The Ottawa Black Film Festival (OBFF) is dedicated to showcasing unique voices in cinema, offering audiences fresh perspectives on the world.
With a mission to support the growth of independent filmmaking, OBFF highlights stories that reflect the realities, experiences, and diversity of Black communities worldwide.
My role
The Ottawa Black Film Festival is the Fabienne Colas Foundation’s festival in Canada’s capital. Its website was one of the sites I managed for the foundation, as web administrator in 2025 and then as an independent consultant.
My priority was to keep the site dependable and easy to update, so the festival team could publish news, programming and practical information quickly as each edition approached.
What I delivered
- WordPress development and day-to-day webmastering of the OBFF website
- Integration of programming, news and practical information for festivalgoers
- SEO optimization of pages and metadata for searches related to film events in Ottawa
- Security, backups and performance monitoring
Supporting the team during the festival itself, when changes have to go online without delay, was an important part of the mission.
