Description

Alessandra Bajec is an independent journalist who has been working across the Middle East and North Africa for nearly 15 years. She has experience reporting from Tunisia, Egypt, the Palestinian Territories, Lebanon, Iraq and beyond.

She covers the MENA region focusing on politics, armed conflict, human rights, gender and migration.

Her work has appeared in a number of international media outlets including The New Arab, Al Jazeera English, TRT World and The New Humanitarian among others.

She holds a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She speaks English, French, Italian, Spanish, and fair Arabic.

My role

I designed and built Alessandra Bajec’s website with WordPress. For an independent journalist, a personal website works as a portfolio and a professional calling card: editors and media outlets need to understand quickly what she covers, where her work has been published and how to reach her.

What I delivered

  • WordPress website design and development
  • A clear structure presenting her biography, areas of coverage and published work
  • A setup she can update herself as new articles are published

The design keeps the focus on the journalism itself, with a simple, readable layout that puts her reporting first.
